About Us
Based in the Roaring Fork Valley, French Stone & Garden helps properties come to life through thoughtful combinations of structure, planting, and light. With over 18 years of experience in design, installation, and horticultural care, we bring craftsmanship and attention to every property, from custom hardscapes and planting design to installation and ongoing maintenance.
Our approach is built on connection. We believe great landscapes grow from strong relationships, not only with the land, but with the people who live on it. From the first walk-through to years of continued care, we work closely with clients to ensure their vision evolves naturally over time.
Founder Jay French earned degrees in Landscape Contracting and Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2015, he worked as a Project Manager with a high-end design-build firm in the Greater Boston area and later served as Horticulturist at a private country club in the valley.
Landscapes are always evolving, and our work reflects that, designing and maintaining spaces that thrive with care, connection, and collaboration.
